Girlhood, an original song cycle, intimately and irreverently explores love, sex, family, and self-discovery through stories about the lived experiences. Bitingly funny and deeply poignant, the performers interweave songs and monologues covering the more complicated and profound discoveries of growing up. Girlhood makes the personal political, peeling away our assumptions to reveal the surprising, confusing and joyous truths about what it means to be a woman.
